He is physicist, specialized in Quantum Field Theories and High Energy Physics, professor at the Department of Physics and dean of the Faculty of Physics from the University of Craiova, Romania. He is author of more that 70 papers published in scientific journals or presented in conferences and workshops. He is in charge with the international cooperation in his institution, participating in many important projects in the field of S&R.

Member of A.D.S.T.R and of „Interdisciplinary Studies Group" of Ploiesti. Papers in interdisciplinary and cybernetics reviews. Two contributions in “Transdisciplinarity in Science and Religion”. Theoretical physicist at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Paris, France. Professor at the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Member of the Romanian Academy. Founding member of ISSR. Founder and Director of the Transdisciplinarity Series, Rocher Editions, Monaco, of the Romanians in Paris Series, Oxus Editions, Paris and of the Science and Religion Series, Curtea Veche, Bucharest (in collaboration with Magda Stavinschi). A specialist in the theory of elementary particles, Basarab Nicolescu is the author of 130 articles in leading international scientific journals, has made numerous contributions to science anthologies and participated in several dozens French radio and multimedia documentaries on science. Basarab Nicolescu is a major advocate of the transdisciplinary reconciliation between Science and the Humanities. He published many articles on the role of science in the contemporary culture in journals in USA, France, Romania, Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina and Japan. She is member of: I.A.U.; Editorial Council of the «Rom. Astron. Journal»; Editorial Board of the «Publ. Astron. Obs. of Belgrade»; Com. of Hellenic Astron. Soc., June 1998 – June 2002; IAPPP wing for Greece; SREAC, and served as Secretary in 2006 & SREAC’s Head for 2007 & 2008. The culture and the history of Astronomy are among her interests, too.

Director of the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy (1990-2005), president of the Commission "Astronomy Education and Development" of the International Astronomical Union (2006-2009), Chair of the SEAC working group "Astronomy and cultural heritage", redactor in chief of the journal "Transdisciplinarity in Science and Religion", co-editor of the series Science and Religion Series, Curtea Veche, Bucharest (in collaboration with Basarab Nicolescu).

Marijan Sunjic
Croatia

Professor of theoretical physics at the University of Zagreb and founder of the Study Group on Science and Spirituality, was born in Zagreb in 1940, where he graduated at the University. He obtained his doctorate from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London in 1970. After a period at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute, in 1978 he joined the University of Zagreb. He was Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Rector of the University of Zagreb, President of the Croatian Rectors' Conference and President of the Danube Rectors’ Conference. He was also Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Holy See. He held visiting academic positions in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, USA, Italy and Spain. His main scientific interest is in theoretical surface physics, where he published more than 110 papers. He was also deeply involved and writes on higher education policy, university organization, and also in social and ethical implications of science and technology.

Milan Tasić

Milan Tasić was born on November 30, 1946 in Buštranje (Serbia). He completed his studies in philosophy, mathematics, and classical studies (Greek and Latin language). His doctoral thesis is from the area of formal or symbolic logic. He taught mathematics at the universities in Skopje (Macedonia) and Algeria, and now teaches philosophy at Teachers Training Faculty in Vranje (University of Niš, Serbia).

Katya Tsvetkova

PhD, research associate in the Institute of Astronomy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Her main scientific topics are flare stars in star clusters and associations; database of wide-field plates obtained in the astronomical observatories worldwide; astronomical catalogues; history of astronomy. She is a member of the International Astronomical Union, as well as of the European Astronomical Society.

Milcho Tsvetkov
Bulgaria

Associate Professor PhD, Senior Research Associate at the Institute of Astronomy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He is a principal investigator of several international projects as the head of the Sofia Sky Archive Data Center of the Institute of Astronomy. His scientific interests are especially in the preservation and storage of the world wide-field photographic plate archives as a unique nationals and world heritages. He is the contact person to the EURO_VO from the Bulgarian side. The history of astronomy and poetry are among his interests.

PhD. After 18 years spent at UNESCO, as a programme specialist on education for peace, she is an international expert and a trainer in several fields of education, including the one she has developed, based in her research on “Education for Joy”. She is also a researcher for the CIRPP, Center of Innovation and Research in Pedagogy of the Chamber of Commerce de Paris, (France) and for the UNESCO Chair in Human Development and Culture of Peace of the University of Florence, (Italy).

Dr Richard Witt

He is a Cambridge graduate, has lived and worked in Athens for the past twenty years, as professional translator (Athens 2004 Olympic Committee, Troia Publishing) and lecturer in English (Southeastern, SUNY) and classics (Open University). He has recently taught for the University of Bucharest. He has published in international journals, on English literature, classical and modern Greek history and civilization, philosophy, contemporary Europe, music, and environmental ethics.
